Book Title: CHOICES
BLURB: Love By Design!
Chloe has finally returned home to stay, embracing the simple lifestyle of Eron. She opens her own fashion boutique and is contemplating a relationship with a guy who has plans to start a family. Chloe’s own plans to settle for her local suitor are disrupted when a charming doctor walks into her boutique, opening up new dating options. Dr. Zach has never been a man to settle in one place. When Zach’s unknown grandparents leave him a house in Colorado on forty acres of land. Eron is supposed to be just another quick stop. That is until the town’s only doctor gets hurt. When the town starts depending on him for their medical needs, Zach finds himself getting more involved in the town than he’d bargained for. Especially when he falls for the beautiful fashion designer who knows more about his grandparents than he’d expected.
SHAREE: What gave you the inspiration for the story?
ROSE: The entire series of Eron Outsiders is an inspiration of the setting from the remote town that I grew up. Although Eron is much of a town, I still imagined a peaceful town, where everyone with a busy lifestyle will want to settle. Being a quiet town, the residents, were always intrigued about the new visitors to their town.
SHAREE: What is the message you hope readers gain?
ROSE: We can make our plans but the Lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9
SHAREE: That’s absolutely true! What advice would you give to fellow writers?
ROSE: Read lots of books and have a writing routine. If you get writer’s block, support another author by critiquing their manuscript. It’s also good to take a day break, if you don’t feel the inspiration to write. Most importantly, to know that when God puts a story on your heart, your job is to write, do what you can, and God will do the rest as far as getting your book to the right readers.
SHAREE: I couldn’t agree more. Helping other writers is a great way to battle writer’s block. And beautifully said. Trust God in all aspects of writing. Great advice. Do you have a bucket list item?
ROSE: To take my whole family back home, so they can see my side of the family.
SHAREE: Do you have a routine when you write, beverages you have to have, etc.?
ROSE: I write at night when my family goes to bed. At that time I don’t drink anything. Otherwise, I’d prefer tea if I wrote during the day.
SHAREE: What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
ROSE: Cutting out major scenes from a manuscript after a critique. After pouring all your effort into a scene you think you like, and a beta reader, tells you that its irrelevant to the story.
SHAREE: Oh yes, I save all my deleted scenes in a folder. Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
ROSE: Whatever you do, do it for God’s Glory. Keeping in mind that without Him, you can do nothing.
SHAREE: AMEN! Thanks for being here today, Rose!
